American high school students to volunteer in Kenya

A group of teenage students from the US are to set off on a two-week volunteering expedition to help develop communities in Kenya.
The pupils, from Reagan High School in Austin, Texas, decided that they wanted to assist after watching a video in which a young Kenyan girl pleaded for assistance, KVUE.com reported.
They will have to raise around $2,600 (£1,740) each to take part in the venture - where they will work in Kibera, one of the country's largest slums - as well as pass all of their classes and stay in school.
Rikki Dautel, a mentor working with the students, explained what duties the participants will be expected to perform.
She said that during the first week they will lead sports camps and at the weekend they will organise talent shows before "doing crafts and tutoring and educational things" in the second.
In January, it was reported that singer Cher and actor Clint Eastwood had helped keep an orphanage for young people with HIV and AIDS in Kenya afloat through monetary donations.
